Mach7 Technologies Alternatives and Mach7 PACS Compared for Health Systems

The short answer

Mach7 Technologies sells a vendor neutral archive, the eUnity diagnostic viewer and an enterprise PACS built from both. It is listed in Australia (ASX M7T) and run from Burlington, Vermont. Mach7 publishes no price, holds no direct federal awards, and scored 66.1 to 75.7 in Best in KLAS VNA from 2023 to 2025, behind Fujifilm and Agfa.

Search for Mach7 Technologies and you mostly get investor pages, company profiles and Mach7's own press releases. Nobody independent puts the product record, the KLAS scores and the company's finances on one page, and the buyer usually needs all three: a health system imaging IT lead running the Mach7 VNA or eUnity, or holding a Mach7 enterprise PACS proposal, who has to decide whether to renew, expand, switch, or keep the archive and fix the read. Every figure below comes from a public record we can point to.

Mach7 sells the imaging platform: the vendor neutral archive, the eUnity viewer, the universal worklist and the enterprise PACS built from them. Radiological.ai sells none of that. It is an assistant that works alongside the archive and PACS you already run, Mach7 included, and helps the radiologist get through the worklist.

What to compare Mach7 Technologies Other enterprise imaging (Agfa, Fujifilm, Hyland, Sectra, Visage)
Who runs it Mach7 Technologies Limited, listed on the ASX as M7T, operating from Burlington, Vermont. Teri Thomas, formerly CEO of Volpara Health, became CEO on July 1, 2025, replacing Mike Lampron. Agfa (Belgium), Fujifilm (Japan), Hyland (Ohio, private), Sectra (Sweden), Visage (Pro Medicus, Australia).
Product lines Vendor neutral archive, eUnity diagnostic viewer, universal worklist and workflow tools, sold together as Enterprise PACS. A modular architecture called Flamingo won its first customer in December 2025. Agfa and Fujifilm sell full PACS plus VNA. Hyland sells the Acuo VNA and NilRead viewer. Sectra and Visage sell PACS with their own archive.
FDA 510(k) None under the Mach7 name. eUnity is cleared under its developer Client Outlook: K111164 (2011), K161515 (2016) and K172490 (2018). Mach7 bought Client Outlook in 2020. Agfa K252199 Enterprise Imaging (October 2025). Fujifilm K261713 Synapse PACS 7.6.0 (June 2026).
FDA recalls None found under Mach7 or Client Outlook. Agfa has two open XERO recalls. GE Centricity has 31 open recall entries.
Best in KLAS, VNA 75.7 in 2023, 66.1 in 2024 and 74.6 in 2025, from 15 to 17 organizations a year. Fujifilm led in 2023 (88.3) and 2024 (86.7). Agfa led in 2025 (86.9) and 2026 (89.8). Hyland Acuo scored 73.7 to 74.2.
Best in KLAS, universal viewer eUnity 83.5 in 2025, from 16 organizations. Agfa XERO 88.4 in 2025, the category winner. Hyland NilRead 75.4 on limited data.
Company trend Revenue A$33.77M in FY25. Revenue fell 23% to A$13.7M in the first half of FY26, with annual recurring revenue at A$23.0M and A$18.5M in cash, no debt. Agfa, Fujifilm and Sectra report imaging inside much larger businesses. Hyland is private and publishes no results.
Where it wins A strong universal viewer score, vendor neutral design that sits beside any PACS, and named US references such as Trinity Health, Advocate Aurora Health, Sentara and UnityPoint Health. Agfa and Fujifilm on VNA satisfaction, Sectra and Visage on full PACS, Hyland where OnBase already runs the enterprise content.
Switching cost Staying avoids an archive migration. Expanding from VNA or viewer into Mach7 Enterprise PACS still means a PACS replacement. High. Archive migration, interfaces and training. Budget it as its own line.

Company facts come from Mach7 ASX announcements and PR Newswire releases. KLAS figures are from public Best in KLAS ranking pages for 2023 to 2025. FDA data is from the openFDA 510(k) and recall databases. Federal data is from USAspending.gov. All collected October 6, 2026. Mach7 reports in Australian dollars.

What the public record shows

Where Mach7 shows up in US contracts

Mach7 publishes no price and holds no federal prime award in its own name, so the only checkable US numbers are the contracts it has announced and the one federal program it supplies through a prime contractor.

Contract Value and term What it tells a buyer
VA National Teleradiology Program NextGen PACS Prime award $12,766,998.41 to Frontier Acquisitions, from June 2023 Mach7 supplies the VNA, eUnity and services as a subcontractor, across 125 VHA facilities in 18 VISNs. The prime award is public; the Mach7 share is not.
Trinity Health A$5.26M over 7 years, signed November 2020 eUnity across 92 hospitals in 22 states, roughly A$750,000 a year for a very large system.
Advocate Aurora Health $4.3M eUnity license, July 2021 Included an initial five-year support term, for a system already on the Mach7 VNA.
UnityPoint Health About A$2.8M over 5 years A Flamingo subscription, which shows where Mach7 pricing is heading in North America.
How Mach7 bills 88% of Q4 FY25 orders were subscription or maintenance The rest was 9% capital license and 3% services. Expect a subscription quote with services as a separate line.

Sources: Mach7 ASX announcements and PR Newswire releases; USAspending.gov prime awards, award types A to D, fiscal 2008 to 2026, pulled October 6, 2026. Searches for MACH7, MACH 7 and CLIENT OUTLOOK returned zero prime awards. Contract values are as Mach7 announced them, in the currency it stated.

Radiological.ai vs Mach7, honestly

A fair look at what each does well. Both are capable tools. Here is where they differ.

What matters Radiological.ai Mach7
What you are buying Software that flags suspected findings on the image, prioritizes the worklist and drafts the structured report. The imaging platform: vendor neutral archive, eUnity viewer, worklist and enterprise PACS.
Relationship to your PACS Works alongside it. It reads from the archive and PACS you already run, Mach7 included. It is the archive and, in Enterprise PACS deals, the PACS too.
Unit of cost Per reading radiologist, published: $399 a month on the Practice plan or $199 a month billed annually, and $598 a month on the Group plan or $299 a month billed annually. Unpublished. Subscription or capital license plus maintenance and services, quoted per contract.
Project size Days to weeks. No image migration. Months. Archive migration, interfaces and training.
Who signs the report The radiologist. The assistant never signs anything. The radiologist, in whichever reporting system runs beside the PACS.
Best suited for Mach7 sites whose radiologists need more studies read per hour, whatever happens to the archive contract. Health systems that want one vendor neutral archive and one viewer across many PACS and departments.

Comparison reflects general, publicly understood positioning. Capabilities change, so check each product for the latest.

This page covers one enterprise imaging vendor. For the category, vendor neutral archive software for radiology groups explains how a VNA sits beside the PACS, and the zero footprint viewer comparison covers what to check in a browser viewer like eUnity. If the archive on your shortlist is Hyland, Hyland Acuo VNA alternatives works through that vendor the same way.

If a full PACS replacement is on the table, Agfa PACS system alternatives, Sectra PACS alternatives and Visage PACS alternatives cover the vendors that beat Mach7 on KLAS. Federal buyers can compare McKesson PACS system alternatives, and PACS pricing and cloud PACS cost benchmarks quotes against real federal awards.

If the archive is fine and the real ask is AI, how the assistant integrates with your PACS explains what connects to what, radiology worklist prioritization shows how urgent studies surface first, and the pricing page lists the per-radiologist plans.

Why groups pick Radiological.ai

One assistant across the whole read

Ask about the company, not only the product

Mach7 changed CEO in July 2025 and reported revenue down 23% in the first half of FY26, with cash of A$18.5M and no debt. Ask how your contract is protected if ownership changes, and get source code escrow and data export terms in writing.

Price the subscription over five years

Almost nine in ten Mach7 orders are now subscription or maintenance. Model five years of study growth and storage growth against the quote, and ask which services are inside the subscription and which are billed separately.

Check the clearance behind the viewer

eUnity is cleared for diagnostic use under Client Outlook K numbers from 2011 to 2018. Ask which clearance covers the version you would run, and which modalities and displays it covers for primary reads.

Separate the archive decision from the AI decision

If your radiologists are short on time today, you do not have to wait for an archive or PACS decision. An assistant that reads from the Mach7 VNA or your PACS flags suspected findings, sorts the worklist and drafts the report.

Good questions

Mach7 vs Radiological.ai, answered

Mach7 Technologies sells enterprise imaging software to hospitals and health systems: a vendor neutral archive, the eUnity diagnostic viewer, a universal worklist and workflow tools, sold together as Enterprise PACS. It is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange as M7T and runs its business from Burlington, Vermont.
Mach7 Technologies. eUnity was built by Client Outlook, a company Mach7 agreed to buy in June 2020. The FDA clearances for eUnity, K111164 in 2011, K161515 in 2016 and K172490 in 2018, are still listed under Client Outlook. Mach7 now sells eUnity alone or as part of its Enterprise PACS.
Mach7 publishes no prices. Announced contracts give a sense of scale: A$5.26 million over seven years for eUnity at Trinity Health, a $4.3 million eUnity license at Advocate Aurora Health, and about A$2.8 million over five years at UnityPoint Health. Most new orders are subscription or maintenance, with services billed separately.
Not in the VNA category. Mach7 scored 75.7 in 2023, 66.1 in 2024 and 74.6 in 2025 in Best in KLAS for vendor neutral archives, while Fujifilm and then Agfa won the category. In the 2025 universal viewer category eUnity scored 83.5, behind the winner, Agfa XERO, at 88.4.
Yes, as a subcontractor. In September 2023 Mach7 announced it supplies its VNA, eUnity and services to the VA National Teleradiology Program NextGen PACS through Frontier Acquisitions, covering 125 VHA facilities. The prime award to Frontier is $12.8 million on USAspending. Mach7 holds no federal prime award in its own name.
For the archive, health systems most often compare Agfa, Fujifilm Synapse VNA and Hyland Acuo. For a full PACS, they look at Sectra, Visage, Agfa and Fujifilm. If the archive works and the radiologists are the bottleneck, the alternative is to keep Mach7 and add an AI assistant to the read.
Yes. An assistant receives studies from the Mach7 VNA or your PACS over standard DICOM and sends results back to the worklist and the reporting system. Radiological.ai flags suspected findings for review, prioritizes the worklist and drafts the structured report. The radiologist reviews, edits and signs every study.
