The short answer: no vendor in this CAC software category publishes a price list, so AI calcium scoring software cost requires a quote. Historical VA purchases identify $13,468 for a calcium scoring application, $19,909 for calcium scoring software and $67,660 for software and hardware. Those orders do not establish current opportunistic AI subscription prices, and Nanox AI has no public price. Compare eligible scans, contract term and the reporting workflow before accepting a proposed amount.
Sources are the verified USAspending prime-award records, award types A to D, and openFDA 510(k) records collected October 23, 2026. Nanox product and distribution statements are attributed to Nanox and the relevant press releases. Reporting guidance comes from the 2017 SCCT/STR guideline. Worked-example assumptions are explicitly labeled.
This guide is for hospital imaging directors, cardiothoracic radiology leads and population health or lung screening managers reviewing a quote. For the product comparison, see our Nanox AI alternatives for opportunistic CT screening.
How much does AI calcium scoring software cost?
The public purchasing evidence below concerns calcium scoring software, including a hardware bundle. It gives a procurement committee identifiable orders to discuss with suppliers. It does not establish the annual cost of a population health platform.
| Order ID | Buyer and date | What it bought | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| 36C25718P2756 | VA, September 4, 2018 | Siemens calcium scoring software and hardware | $67,660 |
| 36C25721P0490 | VA, April 20, 2021 | Calcium scoring software through Trillamed | $19,909 |
| 36C24522F0407 | VA, July 12, 2022 | Canon Vitrea vScore calcium scoring application | $13,468 |
Keep the descriptions attached to the amounts. A software and hardware purchase cannot establish a software-only rate, and these records do not establish comparable license durations. The calcium scoring keyword search also returned Philips training orders, which are excluded here because they were not software purchases.
No vendor in this category publishes a price list. The verified recipient searches found zero federal prime awards for Zebra Medical, Nano-X, Nanox, Coreline and HeartLung. Bunkerhill had a single GSA award, 47QFWA20C0013, dated September 8, 2020, for the DoD Joint Artificial Intelligence Center. Its $767,667.94 amount covered AI in medical and imaging, not a CAC purchase. It cannot support a Bunkerhill CAC pricing estimate.
Missing prime awards do not establish that a product has no customers or no reseller sales. They establish a limit on the available procurement evidence. Do not fill that gap by assigning Nanox, AVIEW or HeartLung the price of a different supplier's historical order.
How much does Nanox AI cost?
No Nanox AI price is public. There is no verified HealthCCSng price to substitute for a written proposal. According to Nanox, HealthCCSng analyzes noncontrast, non-ECG-gated chest CT and measures and visualizes coronary calcified plaque. Nanox calls HealthCCSng, its bone health product HealthOST and its liver fat product HealthFLD its population health suite.
Population health AI quote structures to compare include a per-site subscription and per-study billing. Ask which structure the supplier is proposing rather than assuming Nanox publishes either rate. A site subscription needs a definition of covered locations and eligible volume. A per-study proposal needs a definition of billable examinations, including repeat processing and studies that fail processing.
Distribution can also shape the quote. A September 2025 deepc press release announced HealthCCSng, HealthOST and HealthFLD on deepcOS. A November 2025 press release described a 3DR Labs reseller agreement. These announcements establish platform and reseller routes, not public license terms or prices.
If buying through a platform such as deepc or a reseller such as 3DR Labs, ask who invoices, supports the application and handles renewal. Request separate lines for the CAC module, platform access, implementation and optional bone health or liver fat functions. Do not assume a distribution announcement means those components are included in the same payment.
Which FDA-cleared CAC product is in the quote?
Match the quoted application and version to its clearance record. A K number identifies a regulatory record, not a price or a claim that every scan type is covered. The table distinguishes supported scan-type statements from indications that need checking.
| Vendor and product | K number | Clearance date | Gated, non-gated or contrast |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nanox HealthCCSng | K241440 | August 19, 2024 | Nanox describes HealthCCSng as noncontrast, non-ECG-gated chest CT software; check the indication for this version |
| Nanox HealthCCSng, earlier clearance | K210085 | September 15, 2021 | Same vendor-described scan setting; check the indication for this version |
| Bunkerhill iCAC Device | K230223 | April 25, 2023 | Check the indication |
| Bunkerhill CAC (gated) Algorithm | K240369 | September 27, 2024 | Gated; check the indication |
| Bunkerhill Contrast CAC | K260166 | March 6, 2026 | Contrast; check the indication |
| Coreline AVIEW CAC | K243696 | February 14, 2025 | Check the indication |
| Riverain ClearRead CT CAC | K242188 | December 3, 2024 | Check the indication |
| Imbio CAC Software | K230112 | June 13, 2023 | Check the indication |
| HeartLung AI-CVD | K252029 | December 19, 2025 | Check the indication |
For Riverain proposals, use our ClearRead CT alternatives comparison to frame the product discussion, then identify the CAC module explicitly. For combined lung and cardiovascular procurement, our lung nodule AI software cost guide addresses the separate nodule budget. A shared vendor name does not establish a shared entitlement.
What would the cost per study look like?
Illustration, not a quote. Assume a single site processes 10,000 eligible noncontrast chest CT studies per year. Assume an annual license of $67,660 solely to illustrate the calculation, borrowing the amount from the Siemens 2018 VA order. That historical order included hardware and software; it was not evidence of an annual subscription.
| Labeled assumptions | Calculation | Illustrative license cost per study |
|---|---|---|
| Assumed annual license $67,660 and assumed annual volume 10,000 studies | $67,660 divided by 10,000 | $6.766, rounded to $6.77 |
| Same assumed annual license and second assumed annual volume 20,000 studies | $67,660 divided by 20,000 | $3.383, rounded to $3.38 |
These derived amounts allocate only the assumed license. They exclude integration, platform charges, outreach staffing and other separately quoted costs. The second volume assumption shows how a fixed annual payment spreads across more examinations; it does not assume a supplier would retain the same price at that volume.
Replace both assumptions with your actual eligible workload and written quote. Keep the numerator and denominator within the same contract period. If the quote is per study, model the billable volume instead of treating it as a fixed license. Separate calcium scoring software price from the total opportunistic CT screening cost.
What should a calcium scoring software quote include?
- Covered scans. Name the protocols and accepted inputs. Explicitly state coverage for gated, non-gated, noncontrast and contrast examinations, with the applicable product version and indication.
- Modules and add-ons. Identify CAC separately from bone density or liver fat products. Ask whether optional modules change the license, implementation or support charge.
- Pricing unit. Define the site, study or other billing unit, covered locations, processing limits and treatment of failed or repeated processing.
- PACS and EHR integration. Assign interface responsibilities, implementation charges, support ownership and acceptance criteria. Request a demonstration using your reporting environment.
- Report placement. Specify where results appear for review and how confirmed coronary calcification reaches the impression with the practice's recommendation wording.
- Navigation and outreach. Name the team receiving actionable reports and the handoff into the program's outreach workflow. Clarify which work the software purchase covers.
- Term and renewal cap. Put duration, renewal notice, any agreed cap and the treatment of added sites or modules in writing.
- Exit and data return. Agree on access to historical results, export format, data return and responsibilities when the contract ends.
Before a committee approves the spend, review the published trial and outcome evidence behind opportunistic CAC screening and distinguish software outputs from demonstrated patient outcomes. Do not use FDA clearance or a historical purchase amount as an outcome claim.
How will confirmed calcium reach the report?
The 2017 SCCT/STR guideline recommends evaluating and reporting CAC on all noncontrast chest CT and accepts a visual, ordinal estimate. That reporting recommendation does not require assuming that every examination has a computed Agatston score. A score only helps the workflow if it reaches the impression with a recommendation the practice has agreed to use.
Ask the radiology lead and screening manager to walk through the report together. Confirm where the finding appears, who reviews it and where the recommendation goes next. Our AI CT scan analysis workflow explains the reading-assistant role in that process.
Where does Radiological.ai fit?
Radiological.ai does not compute an Agatston score, a bone density value or a liver fat value. It flags suspected findings on CT as decision support, compares the prior and drafts the structured report into the practice's template. Confirmed coronary calcification and the practice's recommendation wording land in fixed positions. The radiologist reviews, edits and signs every report.
It works alongside PACS over DICOM and returns results over HL7 or FHIR. Budget this reporting role separately from any purchased CAC scoring application. The Practice plan covers X-ray and CT at $199 per reading radiologist per month billed annually, or $399 month to month.
Review Nanox AI alternatives and the reporting workflow when deciding which part of the process needs software, then compare the reading-assistant subscription on our Practice plan pricing page.
